A spate of shed and outbuilding breaks have been reported to us.  To help prevent this type of crime please

• Keep sheds and outbuilding locked and secure at all times, do not leave the doors open while mowing the lawn etc as this acts as a shop window to potential burglars.
• Invest in a short shanked padlock, as this is harder to cut open
• Make sure any screw on the door hinges and hasp are not visible, if they have to be ,round of the screw head so they cannot be undone.
• Mark all your property clearly. Use gloss paint and write your name and postcode on all valuable garden tools, this make them difficult to sell on.
