New Three Village Minibus (TVM)
On Wednesday September 4th 2013 we said ‘goodbye’ to our present 7 year old Renault Master vehicle, which has now gone to do continued service with the 68 (Westbury) Air Training Corps. This vehicle has been replaced by a new yellow Peugeot Boxer vehicle and to celebrate its arrival 36 villagers turned out to welcome it over tea and cake. The new minibus is 3ft. longer and 4inches wider which will give more room for shopping. The two step access with two handrails plus the wider aisle will make access easier to get into the vehicle.
We are grateful to Wiltshire Council for the transport grants we have been awarded and the financial support of Edington Station Yard Ltd., local groups and organisations as well as individual villagers; all of whom have made it possible for us to afford this new community minibus.
Come and try our new bus and see its delights for yourself. Don’t forget our regular shopping trips to Devizes, Warminster, Westbury and Salisbury – all our door to door services. Alternately hire TVM for your group outing.
We are encouraged by the support, enthusiasm and appreciation of local villagers and groups who use our services as it is them who make the responsibility of operating this community asset all worthwhile.
