NPT update December 2012

In general it has been quite a peaceful period where there have been no reported issues in Edington, Heywood, Hawkeridge or Coulston.

There does still seem to be an issue with Quad Bikes and other off road type vehicles riding/driving where they are not allowed to be.  The NPT did undertake a patrol with our colleagues from Wiltshire Council and this will continue.

Also the NPT are appealing to residents to ensure the secure their vehicles, especially Land Rovers,  and garden tools as over the Force area these are the items of choice for offenders.  Please mark all your property and do not leave valuables in vehicles overnight.

Bratton

A vehicle has had all four tyres slashed in Bury Lane between 19th to 20th November.

Unknown person(s) threw a stone at a window causing it to smash in Clover Court.

Several reports of a bull walking along the Bratton Road, Coach Road and Bitham Park over the last two months.  The owner has been advised previously by the NPT and fined £80.

Unknown suspect(s) have stolen 3 bales of hay from the stables at a farm in Capps Lane.

A report of two young males fighting in the Lower Road area.  Both parties have been spoken to.

 Dilton Marsh

A single vehicle had a collision in Clivey heading towards the A36 junction.

The driver of the vehicle died as a result of the collision.

An unknown suspect has forced padlock hasp to a toolbox and have stolen landscaping tools, to the value of £2500.  The items stolen were a Stihl chainsaw – MS390 with a black and red pull cord. A Husqvarna chainsaw – brand new, price tag still attached. 2 Stihl leaf blowers – one will not switch off and a Stihl multi attachment base unit with hedge cutter attachment

An unknown male asked females for direction and  as they looked into his vehicle they saw that he was masturbating.  The vehicle was described by the witness as a dark coloured saloon car, possibly a Peugeot or a Vauxhall, parked facing the direction of Westbury.

The male was described as being in his early 30’s, white, of slim build, clean shaven, with a clear complexion and he wore a grey “beanie” hat. He had a dark top on and blue jeans.

The male drove off in the direction of Westbury.

If you have witnessed any of the following incidents then please contact the police on 101.

The NPT wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
