Casual vacancy :We welcome Mark Burgess who has been co-opted onto the Parish Council to fill our casual vacancy. We look forward to working with him.

Dogs please train your owners to pick up after you and take home bags . there has been a noticeable increase in fouling over the summer months

Corona virus the Edington Village Helpline can provide assistance with shopping, collecting prescriptions, dog walking and a listening and talking service along with many other things that we can find access too. If you need help please call 07933143021 , if we cannot help we will were possible find someone who can The Parish Council has received some donations to help villagers experiencing difficulty in these times, if you are struggling to purchase essential items or pay outstanding bills please contact the helpline Advise is currently changing rapidly so follow latest guidelines but washing hands social distancing wearing masks will help keep you and your family safe

Parking: The Parish Council are aware of problems with people parking vehicles near the junction of Tinhead Road and Westbury Road creating a dangerous situation for road users and pedestrians. We have contacted Wiltshire Police and Wiltshire Council asking them to take action to remove the problem and we will continue to persue them until the matter is resolved. Please ensure that if you must park your vehicle on the highway that it does not cause an obstruction and a danger to other road users and pedestrians.”

Road Closure: 09th November 2020 , the following length of road shall be closed to all traffic in the interests of public safety to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out Carriageway Reactive Patching and associated works. Steeple Ashton Road(part), Edington; from outside the property know as Turnpike Cottage for approximately 90m in either direction. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.. These works will commence on 09th November 2020 and are anticipated to be required for ONE DAY between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00.
