There is now a detailed schedule of works prepared to follow the planning application which will soon be submitted to Wiltshire Council by The Three Daggers. A group of councillors has met with our solicitors recently to make certain that the best interests of the village are being represented. Mercedes Henning has a meeting planned with Playdale to gain information about the needs of the village in relation to the equipment in the field for the future. She also carries out weekly inspections to comply with insurance safety demands.
Wiltshire Council Report
Mike Phillips reported that there will be a full council meeting before the end of October. There has been a new focus on the Wiltshire Plan which will be discussed at the meeting in addition to decision making on other matters. He also recommended the UK’s leading online safety advice resource which provides free, impartial internet safety advice at www.getsafeonline.org. He is also working with PCSO Alice Moore in relation to the safety of the Crossroads Farm junction. He considers that the safety measures planned are unacceptable.
Highways Matters / Footpaths / LHFIG
The new permissive footpath is almost complete. Wiltshire Council Footpaths Officer has walked the village footpaths with Emily Greening and Chris Johns and has given various advice and recommendations.
