Parish Hall Appeal

Edington Parish Hall was built in 1885 for use as a Sunday School for the Priory Church. The hall is a great asset and has been an important part of village life for over 130 years but it is now beginning to show its age.

A major programme of refurbishment, development and extension is needed in order to bring the facilities into the 21st century so making the hall more attractive to potential users and this involves a considerable sum of money!

The Parish Hall Committee wants to:

  1. Provide disabled toilets so that everyone can comfortably attend events in the Parish Hall
  2. Provide baby changing facilities
  3. Refurbish the store off the kitchen in order to extend the kitchen facilities
  4. Add a new storage area for the tables and chairs to the side of the hall (see plans)

Based on the estimates received, we have a target of £30,000 to provide disabled toilets and extend the kitchen facilities. But in an ideal world we can complete the whole project if we raise £60,000.

The Parish Hall Committee would like to appeal to ALL villagers and anyone who has a connection with Edington and the Parish Hall to make a donation to this Appeal. If you would like to enhance your donation and are a UK tax payer you could Gift Aid it. We have already raised over £8,000, have received a grant of £2,500 and are applying for more grants, many of which ask for match funding. Your help and support are urgently needed

Thank you in anticipation of your generosity
