NPT update 26 June 2012

I’m afraid that it is that time of the year again when we experience an increase in burglaries.  The following have occurred recently:-

EDINGTON.

This was an attempted burglary , on the Westbury Road, where an implement (possibily crow bar) was used to try and gain access through a back door, whilst the residents were out between 0830-1600hrs on the 25th June.  Damage was caused to the door/frame but fortunately no entry was gained.

DILTON MARSH.

Entry to a garage was gained, in Stormore between 20-22/06/2012. A petrol hedge trimmer and mountain bike were stolen from within.

WESTBURY.

At least four burglaries have occurred in the last 10 days.  These were mainly non-dwelling (garages) where cycles and house keys  from a vehicle were taken.  The vehicle in this case was insecure.

Please pass this on to friends/neighbours, asking  them to be vigilant and report sightings of all suspicious persons/vehicles in the area.  Property to be secured and marked.  Valuables should not be left in vehicles.

The NPT will be continuing with increased patrols in all areas.

Many thanks,

Luke.
