Edington and Tinhead WI news for September

The Speaker at our September  meeting will be Katy England on “Bringing the Stone Age to Life” As September 16th is W.I. Day, recognising our Centenary year, we will marking the occasion by having a photo taken and a little something stronger than tea to celebrate!

This will be the last opportunity to buy Federation Raffle Tickets; please buy a couple if you have not done so already. Also look out for the 50/50 entry forms on the table: YOU may be a lucky winner!

Apologies in advance for talking about Christmas in September; we have already agreed on a suggestion at the Annual Meeting that we have an “in house” party with partners/friends but would like to discuss briefly at the meeting food and entertainment.

We have had a cull of books so do bring along some new ones and also any bric a brac etc, it all goes to boost our donation to ACWW.

Don’t forget the Produce Show on Saturday; we will have an entry in the Village Group class.

See your Wiltshire Life and the events book for outings/activities etc.; particularly those closing at the meeting. You can also contact Clare Brown for tickets on 830733. At the end of January there is a Food Safety course [details in the folder]; we will be happy to fund a small number of members who may wish to attend.
