Parish Hall Update
The hall roof has now been repaired, gutters emptied and internal plaster work made good. Thanks to the Church for this. A new, bespoke handrail, made by Peter Hailstone, has been installed and, at last, the new cooker, hood and associated electrics are all in place. We also have sockets in the storage area with a view to getting a larder fridge, and maybe, one day, a dishwasher. Thanks must go to all our loyal supporters who have attended lunches, the festival and fair for their generous donations and everyone who values our hall.
A project we are actively pursuing is the improvement of the storage areas and disabled toilets. This will take a lot of money, but hopefully we will be able to obtain grants to help with the costs.
Our next fundraising event is a concert on Saturday 12th November by Vocalese, Andrew King’s close harmony group, so get your excuses ready as the committee will shortly be pestering you with tickets!
Please will hall users be careful to follow instructions for the new cooker and always leave the hall as you would want to find it.
